During the first half of 2025 Steelwrist participated at more than 20 exhibitions worldwide, including the successful week at Bauma in Germany in April.
On June 18-21 Steelwrist returns to CSPI-EXPO in Tokyo with an impressive interactive indoor booth, where a live demonstration with two excavators demonstrates the efficiency of the tiltrotator, and the new SQ40 coupler system is introduced to the Japanese market. With the recent NETIS registration of Steelwrist tiltrotators in Japan, and a growing local team, Steelwrist reaffirms the market leading position.
Steelwrist participated at more than 20 exhibitions first half of 2025
Participating at exhibitions worldwide is important for Steelwrist, to show the extensive product range and news, as well as interacting with both existing and new customers. During the first half of the year Steelwrist participated at more than 20 exhibitions. Local exhibitions, as well as international, are part of the company’s tour. The highlight being a successful week at Bauma in Germany in April, with the launch of two new models in the third generation tiltrotators, the XTR15 and XTR23, and the SQ40 automatic coupler solution.
“It has been an extremely busy period, with our 20 year anniversary event and several successful exhibitions, throughout this spring. Each occasion is a possibility for the visitor to meet our team members, to experience our products in action and Steelwrist as the leading tiltrotator, quick coupler and work tools manufacturer. Now we finish the first half of 2025 with our most impressive stand ever at CSPI-EXPO in Japan”, says Karl Serneberg, Steelwrist VP OEM Sales & Marketing.

Steelwrist participates at the CSPI-EXPO in Tokyo on June 18-21, 2025, for the sixth time in the company’s history, and welcomes visitors to a 225 square meter interactive indoor booth, featuring static products as well as a live demonstration. The booth is centrally located in the exhibition hall, nearby several major excavator OEM’s. Steelwrist’s sister company, SVAB, the market leader for tiltrotator control systems and operator controls, is a co-exhibitor.
The live demonstration has two excavators, a Volvo ECR25 electric and a Komatsu PC30E electric, both equipped with a Steelwrist X04 Direct Fit tiltrotator with a S40 quick coupler, sharing a range of work tools.
The X07, X12 and X18 tiltrotator, the XR7 rotor coupler and a selection of work tools, such as sorting grapple, grading beam, pallet fork, ripper, asphalt cutter and buckets, are also shown in the stand.
In addition to this there is an Open-S display, with a Steelwrist SQ60 coupler and a Open-S member adapter plate, to demonstrate the possibility to combine products from different manufacturers that follow the Open-S standard for automatic couplers. The organization behind the standard, the Open-S Alliance, recently published their website in Japanese.
Introducing the SQ40 automatic coupler system in Japan
First presented at the Bauma exhibition in April, Steelwrist now introduces the SQ40 automatic coupler system to the Japanese market. The X07 tiltrotator on display in the booth at CSPI-EXPO is equipped with SQ40. The SQ technology makes changing hydraulic work tools easy and safe, and it is now made available also for smaller excavators, up to 6 tonnes.
Thanks to a modular design, with significantly reduced number of components, it is easy to upgrade machine couplers, tiltrotators and work tools from S to SQ. The male SQ couplings on the work tool are integrated in the rear shaft, and by replacing the shaft the upgrade can be done in a very easy way. This also means that hose routing is very flexible, and can be adapted to a wide range of hydraulic work tools.
SQ40 follows the symmetrical standard for S40, which means existing work tools with this interface are compatible and the customer can use these directly without any expensive adaptations.
Steelwrist tiltrotators are now NETIS registered
In Japan, when private construction operators are looking for trustworthy technologies to use in their bidding process to acquire new projects, they often turn to the NETIS Certification. NETIS stands for New Technology Information System, and is governed by the Ministry for Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The purpose of the system is to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies in public works in Japan, and the NETIS database is used to manage these technologies.
Steelwrist is the first tiltrotator manufacturer to be registered in NETIS. The application process is extensive and thorough, and for Steelwrist it is a huge achievement to have products registered and officially recognized as new and innovative relevant to construction or infrastructure.
A successful application and registration in the NETIS database is one of the most effective measures to reassure private contractors of a product’s quality and reliability. The specific NETIS registration number applies to all Steelwrist tiltrotators independent of which excavator brand is being used.
“I’m very excited to return to CSPI-EXPO with our most impressive stand ever, and I look forward to welcoming visitors to experience our live demonstration as well as presenting the new SQ40 to the Japanese market. With our recent NETIS registration and our growing team in Japan, we are reaffirming our very strong commitment to the Japanese market”, says Stefan Stockhaus, Steelwrist CEO.
