Thwaites is pleased to announce the expansion of its distributor network, with the appointment of Fitzgerald Plant Services the Cwmbran, South Wales based rail and construction equipment sales specialist and Tegfan Plant & Machinery, the Carmarthenshire based new and used machinery provider.
Fitzgerald Plant Services: Covering Southeast Wales and North Wales
Founded in 2007 by Liza and Chris Fitzgerald, the company has enjoyed rapid growth with the business now operating from four UK sites and employing over 100 people. Today the business provides product sale solutions to several established markets such as rail, construction, forestry, recycling and quarrying.
Fitzgerald Plant Services will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge as the business adds Thwaites dumpers to its existing machine sales distributorships of Sany Excavators, OKB Attachments and TAFE Tractors.
Fitzgerald Sales Director Simon Richards said, “Having become established as a Sany distributor, we are keen to develop our distributorship portfolio by offering customers more choice and convenience. A dumper and excavator combination not only improves our offer but reduces our customers transaction cost.”

Tegfan Plant & Machinery: Covering Southwest Wales & Mid-Wales
Founded by now Managing Director John Dunn some 21 years ago, Tegfan is a regional distributorship powerhouse with established, successful, relationships with Kubota, Merlo, Auger Torque and Indespension.
John is now looking to rekindle his relationship with Thwaites as some 35 years ago, when aged just 15, he was an apprentice fitter with Parker Plant Hire learning his trade on Thwaites dumpers, a machine that all these years later he now welcomes into his business as a distributor.
Seven years a Kubota dealer and four years a Merlo distributor Tegfan is well placed and ready to add the Thwaites machine line up to its portfolio.
John Dunn said “The opportunity to become an approved distributor for Thwaites is something I have wanted for the business for some time. Kubota excavators and Thwaites dumpers offer us a natural, noncompeting product range. Two strong brands that will work well to add value for our customers and our business.”
