In a major development for the Irish and UK construction industry, John Sisk & Son has announced the acquisition of Farrans Construction from global building materials giant CRH.

The deal represents a significant strategic move for Sisk, bolstering its position across infrastructure, energy, and civil engineering markets.

A change for Construction & Civil Engineering

Farrans, headquartered in Northern Ireland, employs over 625 staff and has established itself as a leading contractor in large-scale infrastructure projects, including aviation, renewable energy, water, and utilities across Ireland and the UK.

Following the acquisition, Farrans will continue trading under its own name, ensuring continuity on all ongoing projects while benefiting from Sisk’s scale, resources, and industry expertise.
