Plantworx 2023 will be the perfect opportunity to see new Steelwrist products firsthand and watch live demonstrations showing exactly how the tiltrotator and the SQ Automatic Quick Coupler system can increase excavator efficiency.
On display for the first time in the UK, will be some new additions to Steelwrist’s product portfolio, the SQ50 range of quick couplers and tiltrotators for mid sized excavators, also a completely new model, the X02, our tiltrotator for excavators up to 2.5 tonnes.
Increased efficiency for the smallest excavators with Steelwrist X02 tiltrotator
The global demand for tiltrotators on even the smallest of excavators is continuing to grow, in response, Steelwrist is proud to introduce the X02, a tiltrotator suitable for 1.5 – 2.5 ton excavators. The X02 is accompanied by a complete range of work tools resulting in increased efficiency and versatility by converting compact excavators into true tool carriers.
Innovative design and easy maintenance
The X02 tiltrotator incorporates several innovative design solutions. Available in both direct mount and sandwich configurations, all models come with a hydraulic locking S30 attachment coupler with integrated Front Pin Hook, probably the only tiltrotator in this class to meet CE requirements for secondary locking of hydraulic quick couplers.
The X02 is positioned in between the smallest TCX tilt coupler, for machines below 2 tonnes, and the X04 tiltrotator for excavators from 2.5 to 4 tonnes. Our market leading Quantum control system and also a lower budget 4-Hose option is available. The primary focus with X02 has been to produce a fully casted unit with a high strength to weight ratio and the lowest possible build height.
Optimised range of work tools
The X02 tiltrotator is available with a complete set of S30 work tools from Steelwrist, such as grading, digging, cable/trenching and v-ditch buckets, a multi grapple, asphalt cutter and ripper tooth.
“With the X02 we complete the tiltrotator range for excavators below 2,5 tonnes. The X02 is a fantastic combination of innovation and robustness which customers have been waiting for”, says Joe Westman, Country Manager at Steelwrist UK.
There will be live demos at Steelwrist’s stand with the X02 tiltrotator on a Wacker Neuson ET18 excavator.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming visitors to our stand at Plantworx this year to experience how Steelwrist really can improve worksite efficiency and safety, by transforming the excavator into a true tool carrier”, says Joe.
SQ50 – a fully automatic, high flow, Open-S compliant solution for mid-size excavators
The new range of SQ50 quick couplers and tiltrotators is available for 7-13 ton excavators. Steelwrist SQ is highly performing, fully automatic oil connection technology, used in quick couplers and tiltrotators to connect hydraulic work tools. Both the S50 and SQ50 Steelwrist quick couplers are casted from steel and meet the specifications of the Open-S standard for fully automatic quick couplers allowing seamless connection with other brands meeting the Open-S standard.
Both the X12 and X14 tiltrotators are now available in the SQ50 configuration, with outstanding flow characteristics, competitive build height and low overall weight being significant advantages.
SQ on the top side (upper coupler) of the tiltrotator for rapid change between tiltrotator and other work tools, and SQ on the bottom side (attachment coupler) of the tiltrotator will allow for rapid change between hydraulic work tools.
“With the introduction of our SQ50 fully automatic quick couplers and tiltrotators, Steelwrist are changing the game in the growing midi excavator segment. Flow capacities of up to 120 litres per minute, with minimal back pressure, allows for efficient use of hydraulic tools with higher flow requirements”, continues Joe.
Test your tiltrotator skills in the Operator Challenge!
Steelwrist is an Official Challenge Sponsor at the Operator Challenge, organised by Awesome Earthmovers and hosted by Plantworx. Operators will compete to demonstrate their prowess in handling construction machinery in eight different challenges of varying skill levels. One of the challenges will be operation of a Steelwrist tiltrotator.
