F. Beissner GmbH continues to expand its heavy-duty demolition operations. The medium-sized company, based in Niemetal/Varlosen, has recently ordered ten Epiroc HB 4100 hydraulic breakers through its long-standing partner, US Abbruchtechnik, located in Oberhausen.

Weighing over four tonnes each, the attachments are being deployed on 40-tonne class crawler excavators. Equipped with modern OilQuick adapter plates, the breakers allow for fast and safe tool changes directly on site—an essential advantage in demanding demolition environments.

The scope of application is broad and challenging: bridge demolition projects with tight timeframes—such as the recent dismantling of the Betonkrebs Bridge on the A39 motorway crossing the Mittelland Canal near Wolfsburg in early June, where four of the new breakers were already in use—as well as recycling operations and quarry applications in the surrounding region. On that specific site, approximately 2,600 tonnes of concrete and steel were dismantled and processed over a single weekend. The operation took place under difficult conditions on a pontoon platform and was executed in multiple shifts.

The decision to invest in the Epiroc HB 4100 breakers was based on long-term experience and trust:
“These breakers deliver consistently high performance, are robust, and remain reliable even under the toughest conditions—particularly in horizontal applications or dusty environments,” says Jens Uhlendorf, Managing Director of F. Beissner GmbH.

The latest generation of these hydraulic breakers is equipped with the HATCON® telematics system, providing real-time data on operating hours, location, and service intervals—enhancing planning reliability, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Beissner has relied for years on close cooperation with US Abbruchtechnik in Oberhausen—from delivery and commissioning of new equipment to regular maintenance and the rental of temporary units when needed. This partnership ensures that technology and service go hand in hand—providing a strong foundation for long-term success in the highly demanding demolition sector.
