‘Excellent Level’ certification has been confirmed again for the year 2025 under the Caterpillar ‘Supplier Excellence Recognition (SER)’ program.
Balkrishna Industries Ltd (BKT), one of the world’s leading Off-Highway tire manufacturers, has been awarded the “Excellence Level” for the fourth consecutive year. The accolade is part of the global Supplier Excellence Recognition (SER) program by Caterpillar, a major global manufacturer of earthmoving machinery.
This recognition goes beyond its symbolic value, reflecting a distinguished accomplishment and highlighting BKT’s continued focus on quality and reliability in ensuring high standards at every stage of the development process. From product quality to on-time delivery, BKT maintains high standards across its operations in support of its customer relationships.
The relationship between BKT and Caterpillar can be traced back to 2015, when the first supplies of trucks for the Indian market began. Today, BKT is a supplier for Caterpillar Inc. in India for Off-Highway tires for equipment ranging between 40 and 190 tons—reflecting a long-standing business relationship.
The certification journey started in 2017, when BKT achieved the Silver Level certification. In the following years, the company progressed steadily: first achieving Gold, followed by Platinum, and finally reaching the Excellence Level—a distinction BKT has maintained for the past four years. This is an important validation for both the continuity and reliability of performance provided by BKT over time.
In addition to the quality of its products, BKT has distinguished itself for the comprehensive support offered to Caterpillar, from proactive communication to technical on-site assistance. Operational feedback gathered directly from projects has been a key element in the evaluation process.
