The new U145 offers customers an incredibly capable digging and lifting machine in a compact package. Built in cooperation with Sumitomo Construction Machinery, the short tailswing excavator tips the scales at 14.5-15.2 tonnes, depending on specification. Powered by a 76.4kW (102hp) diesel engine, the machine can be equipped with a dozer blade for additional stability and versatility. The U145 offers contractors and plant hire companies the perfect machine for urban construction work, highways and utilities.
KW095 wheeled excavator
Kubota has entered the wheeled excavator market with the arrival of the KW095 and the larger KW115. The KW095 weighs 9.7-11.5 tonnes, while the KW115 has an operating weight of 10.8-12.8 tonnes. The machines have been built as part of new partnership with Liebherr and are the first Liebherr models to be powered by Kubota’s V3800 Stage V diesel engine. The smaller model uses a 55kW (74hp) version, while the heavier machine has an 80kW (107hp) motor.
SVL75-3 compact tracked loader
Kubota is expanding into a new market sector with the introduction of the SVL75-3 compact tracked loader. Powered by a 55kW (74hp) Kubota diesel engine, the machine delivers a versatile tool-carrying solution for a wide range of industries customers with a bucket breakout of 2,710kg and a rated capacity of 1,613kg at 50% tipping load. With a fully sealed and pressurised cab, the machine provides an excellent working environment for operators, with a 7” touchscreen providing information and control of various machine functions. With an advanced hydraulic system, the loader provides both standard and high-flow auxiliary power, to drive a wide range of attachments.
Electric retrofit
As a growing number of contractors and rental companies look to transition to zero emission drivelines, Kubota is offering an alternative to the battery electric models. Available for its 1.8-tonne KX019 and 2.5-tonne U27-4 mini excavators, Kubota has developed a retrofit modular battery pack that can be used in place of a standard diesel model’s engine. The battery pack and electric motor can be installed in place of the diesel engine by the customer or dealer when a zero-emission machine is required and then returned to diesel power for other types of work. The electric retrofit system has been shortlisted for the Special Achievement Award – Leadership in Sustainability and Alternative Power category in the PlantWorx 2025 Innovation Awards.
U17-5 and U18-5 minis
Building on their market-leading reputation, Kubota’s main 1.5-tonne mini excavator models benefit from a host of upgrades this year. A larger fuel tank, auto-idle, an increase in undercarriage extension width and an independent hydraulic circuit for travel all contribute to an increase in productivity and performance. The U18-5 features a long dipper arm with a revised rear counterweight, that remains within the zero tailswing configuration, deliver improved digging performance and stability.
