Nationwide apprenticeships up for grabs
Budding engineers have just two weeks to apply to be one of the next generation apprentice recruits for the Finning UK & Ireland 2020 programme. The company has at least fourteen opportunities on offer across the UK and Ireland to work in its equipment and power solutions divisions or with its technology partner firm, SITECH UK & Ireland.
The deadline for applications is Friday 28 February, 2020. There are fourteen coveted apprenticeships up for grabs in England,Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The recruitment process will last between three and six months with the successful candidates starting their new roles in September 2020.
Young people with a passion for a career in construction, power generation or technology are encouraged to apply. Applicants need to have at least four GCSEs at grade C or above, including English, maths and a science subject.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an apprentice day at a purpose-built training centre at the company headquarters in Staffordshire, where they will complete a series of practical activities, team exercises and a career discussion.
Those who impress on the day will be invited to complete a period of work experience at Finning, in one of its regional branches,to experience first-hand what the role entails. Successful candidates will be offered a four-year apprenticeship working in its equipment or power solutions division, or with SITECH UK & Ireland, the company’s technology subsidiary.
