Manitou Group, a world reference in the handling, aerial work platform and earth moving sectors, will be present at the largest international trade fair for construction and industry, Bauma in Munich, from April 7th to 13th.

The group will have many innovations to present during the event, with a focus on electric machines with zero emission.

At the world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, Manitou Group will once again be exhibiting around 25 machines from the Manitou and GEHL brands on stand FS 908/1 in the outdoor area covering more than 1,600 m².

New hydrogen telehandler concept

Manitou Group is firmly committed to reducing carbon emissions and is positioning itself as a key player in decarbonization, working actively on the development of electric and hydrogen-powered machines.

After presenting an initial prototype of a fixed telehandler with an 18-metre lifting height and 4-tonne load capacity in December 2022, Manitou is taking another step forward. At Bauma 2025, a second telehandler prototype concept will be unveiled, powered by green hydrogen via a fuel cell, guaranteeing a zero-emission solution.

Presentation of 2 high lift telehandlers zero emission models

Manitou takes another step forward in its drive to reduce emissions with the presentation of two electric models of high-lift telehandlers that are entirely zero-emission. These high-performance machines, which comply with Low Emission Zone (LEZ) regulations, offer a full day’s working autonomy. They are also designed for operator comfort, with a new cab offering improved visibility over current models and low noise levels.

Rotative telehandler for high lifting

Manitou expands its range of solutions for working at height with a new rotating telehandler MRT designed for high-rise lifts. Offering a lifting height of over 30 meters and engine power of 175 hp, this MRT is ideal for carpenters, general contractors, rental companies and masons.

It is ideally suited to applications in maintenance and restoration, masonry, roofing, scaffolding, concrete and formwork, as well as marine work. Its benefits include faster positioning and fewer movements, high capacity combined with the ability to work in very tight site conditions, increased mobility on site, reduced crane rental costs and operator expenses, all with a smaller footprint than a traditional crane. Manitou Group offers a wide range of attachments to answer every need, such as the new pruning grapple, dedicated to MRT 2660 e.

Made of high-strength steel, this solution increases efficiency and productivity for pruning. Its robust technology ensures reduced wear and maintenance, while its powerful rotation allows perfect adaptation to the tree. The grapple provides a powerful grip for a secure hold of harvested trunks and branches, allowing trees to be felled safely and branches up to 750 mm in diameter to be cut. Other attachments will be also showcased such as the 360° rotative forks and a new 6t winch, with an increased speed compared to the previous models.

An innovative partnership with Deutsche Bahn

The innovative track loader solution for cable construction during ongoing rail operations, with which Manitou and its partners won the Supplier Innovation Award from Deutsche Bahn in 2024, will also be on site.

This solution represents an optimal alternative to conventional underground cable construction and is faster, more effective and more resource-efficient These compact loaders emit fewer emissions than traditional machines used for this type of application, which reduces the environmental impact of this activity, there is only minimal interference with the construction section and the need to close off the railroad area can be minimized. The use of various attachments makes the machines even more flexible to use and at the same time offers optimum safety for operators.

A new offer for ULM telehandler for Deutschland, Austria & Switzerland

The ultra compact ULM telehandler fits on a small trailer such as some mobile elevating work platforms like the scissor lift model SE 1008. The robust aluminum low loader trailer for K50 ball head coupling has access ramps and comes with an aluminum box with tailor-made lashing material. A complete ULM offer with this trailer is now available from the Manitou dealer network in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

A new range dedicated to para-industrial and construction markets

For the industrial sector, Manitou will be showcasing the new ME 430 Lift electric forklift truck powered with lithium-ion batteries, which offers a load capacity of up to 3.5 tons and, with its zero-emission drive, is particularly suitable for internal transport in closed or emission-sensitive environments. The truck is characterized by high manoeuvrability and excellent ergonomics, making operation both efficient and safe.

A corner dedicated to GEHL ranges

Fans of GEHL can look forward to a selection of articulated loaders, skid steer and track loaders that impress with their robustness and versatility. GEHL skid steers are known for their high performance and low maintenance requirements – ideal for demanding applications on construction sites. A large choice of attachments will be presented during the show such as mulchers, graders, cold planers or concrete mixing buckets.

A Manitou fast charger

Manitou strengthens its range of electric charging solutions with a new outboard fast charger (30 kw), designed for maximum efficiency and extended compatibility with the MT range (telehandlers) and ME Lift electric ranges (forklifts), ensuring fast and reliable recharge.

This loader has been designed for easy transport and installation, thanks to its integrated lifting slings and fork pockets and is adapted to rough terrain conditions. It will meet the requirements of different markets with adapted plugs and specific voltages, with country-specific adapters being validated for maximum compatibility. The new loader is scheduled to go on sale in the second quarter of 2025, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to high-performance, practical charging solutions.

Manitou Group will reveal every detail on these new products during the press conference that will be held on its booth FS 908 /1 at 11.00 am on April, 7th during the first day of the fair.
