We headed to Co Wexford to have a look at Richard Upton Landscapes newest addition to its plant fleet, a new Liu Gong 909 ECR excavator.
We spoke to Richard who was also operating the machine (which he only has a few weeks) and his first impressions….
“It’s my first Liu Gong machine I’ve had 1.5/2 tonnes in the past but we felt we needed to jump up to a 9 tonne as we have a lot of bigger work coming in the pipeline.” said Richard.
“So far so good, it’s doing the job, she has plenty of power and the tilt hitch is a godsend, it’s a huge labor saver”.
“Lean enough on the fuel consumption and I guess no different to other machines of this size and weight,” said Richard.
Richard bought the machine from Liam Murray plant sales and he’s quite happy with the service.
“We had a very small issue with a slight leak from an oil sensor on the tank but Liam was up within 24 hours and the had it sorted. The overall quality is good and the cab is comfortable with climate control on this hot day it’s great” says Richard.
I really did my research before purchasing a new machine and I heard Liam provided good back up service, so that along with the really good price convinced me to press to button,” said Richard.
