Finning, authorised Caterpillar® distributor for UK and Ireland, introduces Finning Power Rental – the renamed offering for organisations looking to source temporary power generation with the assurance of the Caterpillar and Finning brands.

The company has been providing this service in the UK and Ireland since acquiring the Energyst brand in 2021 and will now be brought under the Finning name together with new and used power generation sales. This creates a strengthened, holistic service for customers whether they are looking to buy or rent equipment.

The move means that the rental business can most effectively draw on Finning strengths – including in-depth expertise supplying specialist power generation, proven ability for responsive delivery through its UK and Ireland network, and access to the latest Cat® equipment.

Kelly Cole, General Manager, Electric Power at Finning explains:

“Finning UK and Ireland has a strong heritage in power generation, having worked for many years in highly demanding sectors such as datacentres, healthcare and other industries where a continuous supply of power is mission critical.

“This was expanded with the Energyst acquisition, and we are now taking the next natural step of bringing these rental products and services under the Finning brand. This underlines why we are best positioned to support customers looking for specialist capabilities and responsive service levels in temporary power generation.”

Finning Power Rental will operate from three regional locations in Aberdeen, Cannock and Dublin – helping to ensure customers have local 24/7 support when needed. It will offer a full range of Cat power generation equipment including generators, transformers, load banks, switch gear, distribution equipment and more, coupled with the engineering capabilities to select and integrate solutions for individual project requirements.

This means that Finning will have the right solution and expertise for all customers, whether for managing seasonal changes in power demand, planned shutdowns, maintenance, local outages or powering an infrastructure project. Furthermore, customers will benefit from Cat technology that sets the very highest safety and environmental standards – ensuring premium performance, low CO2 emissions and compliance with regulations.
