Finning UK & Ireland has expanded its distribution network for compact Cat® equipment with the appointment of Cooks (Midlands) Ltd. as its newest Authorised Sales and Service Centre (ASSC) selling Cat machines to companies across Leicester, Derby and Coventry as part of its Midlands territory.

Finning, exclusive dealer of Cat machines and equipment for the UK & Ireland is building a nationwide network of ASSCs. By partnering with established companies, it aims to broaden its footprint to meet growing demand for the sales and servicing of Cat machines including mini excavators up to 10 tonnes.

Leicestershire firm Cooks Midlands will become regional dealers of selected new, used, and rental Cat machines and will also be able to provide its customers with genuine Cat parts and Cat certified maintenance and service support as part of the agreement.

Established in 1992, family-owned Cooks Midlands has enjoyed steady growth over the past three decades and now employs a team of 20 people from its Leicestershire headquarters. The company has built up a wealth of expertise in the supply and service of equipment to the agricultural and construction industries, selling over 1,000 new machines since its inception.

The partnership with Finning will see Cooks Midlands add a plethora of Cat models to its portfolio including mini excavators, skid steers, compact wheel loaders and backhoe loaders.

Stewart Carter, Head of BCP products at Finning, comments:

“The compact equipment market here in the UK & Ireland is one of the most vibrant industry sectors and has grown significantly over the past decade. To ensure we can continue to deliver sales and service excellence, we are expanding our network and partnering with established companies to provide improved coverage and customer support to meet demand.

“Thanks to our agreement with Cooks Midlands regional customers now have a local dealer from which to purchase Cat equipment. They will also have instant access to any Cat certified parts, servicing, maintenance and support they might require. I’m pleased to be partnering with such a successful company to become our latest ASSC. It provides many benefits for all concerned.”

“Cooks Midlands has a strong reputation for service and are extremely customer focused. I’m confident they will deliver an excellent customer experience and I’m delighted to welcome them to the Finning family.”

Cooks Midlands Managing Director Darren Cook added: “We’re thrilled to become an ASSC for Cat compact equipment and to be working alongside Finning. This is a prestigious appointment and shows how far we’ve come in the three decades we’ve been in business. To work with Finning is something special and we look forward to welcoming customers old and new to view – and buy – the full range of Cat models we now stock.”
