Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA has announced the launch of three brand new mini excavators, each delivering class-leading performance and adopting state-of-the-art operator technologies. Designed from the ground up, the innovative trio comprises the SV15VT, SV17VT and SV19 VT.

Robust, reliable and versatile, each model guarantees impressive outputs in a highly compact package – perfect for urban jobsites where space comes at a premium. Engineered to set the standards in safety, capability and efficiency, the new range will be available to order through approved dealers nationwide from May 2021.

Yanmar SV15VT – Designed to excel in even the toughest environments, the SV15VT offers power and performance at your fingertips. Adopting a Stage V-compliant mechanically-controlled 3-cylinder indirect injection engine from Yanmar’s globally-acclaimed TNV series, the all-new model combines impressive efficiencies with low fuel consumption.

Its double gear pump hydraulic system delivers a flow of 28.6 l/min at a maximum 205 bar pressure, achieving a digging force of 7.4kN (short arm) and 12.9kN (bucket), while also coming with a standard auxiliary hydraulic line to power breakers or augers. A unique track frame layout, featuring three bottom rollers and a variable undercarriage (990-1,170mm), ensures ultimate versatility and a comfortable ride for the operator.

Compact dimensions and a travel weight of just 1,465kg/1,555kg (canopy/cabin) mean the SV15VT can be easily towed between work sites, along with buckets and a light work tool, on a standard 2.5 tonne GVW trailer. Four tie-down points on the track frames (standard) and four on the turning frame (optional) make transport preparation simple.

As with every Yanmar model, safety has been considered a priority. Alongside achieving ROPS, TOPS and FOPS certification for both the canopy and cabin variants, operators benefit from 360° visibility, powerful LED work lights and an orange seatbelt as standard. Optional seatbelt sensor, flashing green beacon, travel alarms and a polycarbonate protective shield (for the canopy model) set the standards in operator protection.

Yanmar SV17VT – Delivering the power and performance of a much larger model, the SV17VT is your perfect partner for trenching and landscaping work in tight urban areas or at residential properties. Featuring a Stage V-compliant mechanically-controlled 3-cylinder indirect injection engine from Yanmar’s globally-acclaimed TNV series, the all-new model guarantees truly class-leading performance.

Adopting Yanmar’s acclaimed ViPPS hydraulic system, which cumulates the flow of separate pumps in order to obtain the optimal combination in terms of speed, power and balance, the SV17VT guarantees smooth and simultaneous operation of working movements. A digging force of 9.9/16kN (short arm/bucket), traction force of 12.8kN/8kN (first/second speed) and two travel speeds (2.4 or 4.8km/h) maximise operator efficiencies.

Adaptable to suit a variety of applications, the SV17VT is available with the option of either long or short digging arms and levelling blades. With a transport weight of just 1,570kg/1,660kg (canopy/cabin), the excavator can be easily towed between work sites, along with buckets or a light work tool, on a standard 2.5 tons GVW trailer. Four tie-down points on the track frames (standard) and four on the turning frame (optional) make transport preparation simple.

To ensure maximum durability, hydraulic hoses have been routed inside the boom, while the boom cylinder itself is located in an upper position to avoid accidental damage. Optional bucket/cylinder arm guards offer maximum protection and minimise unnecessary downtime.

Yanmar SV19VT – Designed with simplicity and useability firmly in mind, the SV19VT delivers unbeatable productivity in a highly compact package. Perfectly suited to a wide variety of earthmoving applications, the all-new model boasts a short turning radius at both the front and rear, alongside a wide boom swing amplitude, ensuring maximum performance and class-leading capability.

Designed to excel, the SV19VT adopts a state-of-the-art, Stage V-compliant, mechanically-controlled 3-cylinder indirect injection engine from Yanmar’s globally-acclaimed TNV series, with hydraulics driven by Yanmar’s proven ViPPS system (39 l/min at a maximum 220 bars pressure). Operators benefit from a digging force of 11.4/16.7kN (short arm/bucket) and traction force of 12.9kN, with two travelling speeds – either 2.4 or 4.4km/h (with a selector on the blade operation lever and standard auto kickdown travel motors providing upgraded fingertip efficiency).

Designed to improve productivity and maximise on-site efficiency, the SV19VT perfectly blends stylish design and user-friendly layout. The cab provides 360° visibility of the working area, while ergonomically designed control pedals, levers, switch boards and an LCD control interface ensure maximum practicality.

With long/short arm and blade configurations, a shaped steel extendable undercarriage (980-1,320mm), a wide boom swing amplitude (further extending working range) and the option of an additional 50kg counterweight, the SV19VT ensures optimum stability and outstanding flexibility to suit every application.

Common across all three excavator models is best-in-class maintenance accessibility, thanks to a wide engine compartment hood design, which offers easy access to the powertrain, as well as easy to disassemble side panels and a cabin floor, which provide instant access to hydraulic components, the fuel/hydraulic tanks and the radiator. The battery and fuse box are located in a lockable compartment under the operator’s seat to maximise security.

All three excavators are also fitted with Yanmar’s next-generation fleet management system, SmartAssist Remote, as standard. With equipment location and status reported in real time, the system enables remote tracking via a PC or smartphone.
