A leading plant hirer has commissioned a special edition JCB backhoe loader to raise vital awareness and funds for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

Falkirk-based Lomond Plant Hire has emblazoned the brand-new Stage V 3CX Plus backhoe loader in the colours of the leading children’s charity – which seeks to enhance the care available to the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital in Glasgow.

Lomond Plant’s Joint Managing Director, Ross Easton said: “We have always purchased JCB machinery, so the 3CX was the perfect choice for this very special machine. Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is a very worthy cause and one which is close to our hearts, so we wanted to do our bit to raise money and generate support for the charity.

“We hope that people will see the JCB in action out on site and be inspired to make a donation. The JCB 3CX is already a very recognisable piece of machinery and we feel that the addition of the charity’s livery will make this really stand out as something different and memorable. The service and support from Scot JCB has been excellent as always, helping to make this happen.”

Supplied by Scot JCB, the new JCB Stage V 3CX Plus has a powerful 81kW engine and Torquelock to reduce fuel when roading.

Established in 1988 Lomond Plant Hire is a family-owned business specialising in self-drive or operator plant hire from its depots in Falkirk, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Operating an exclusively JCB fleet of over 550 items the brand-new Stage V 3CX Plus joins 1-22 tonne JCB tracked and wheeled excavators with associated attachments, telehandlers, backhoe loaders, site dumpers and compaction equipment.
