SANY UK & Ireland has confirmed a presence at UK Plant Expo 2027 as an exhibitor and sponsor of the 360 Excavator Challenge.
The global construction equipment manufacturer will attend the Heart of England Events Centre in Warwickshire on 11 and 12 June 2027, bringing machinery to the outdoor event, which will focus on live equipment, demonstrations and operator experience.
SANY will sponsor a key category in the UK Plant Operator of the Year competition. The 360 Excavator Challenge will test operator skill, accuracy and machine control before a live audience. However, competitors will not learn which SANY excavator they will operate until the event.
The wider competition offers a £20,000 prize fund, with challenges covering several machine types and operating skills.
SANY will also showcase its equipment range, including diesel and electric excavators.
Leigh Harris, Business Development Director at SANY UK, said the event allows visitors to see machinery working, enter the cab and assess how equipment feels and performs.
He expects the 360 Excavator Challenge to attract skilled operators and deliver strong competition.
Jeff Schofield, Co-Director of UK Plant Expo, welcomed SANY’s involvement, describing the manufacturer’s participation and sponsorship as a significant endorsement of the event.
“Operators take great pride in what they can do on an excavator, particularly with a crowd watching,” Schofield said.
“That is exactly what we want UK Plant Expo to be about: great machines, highly skilled operators and manufacturers willing to demonstrate their equipment.”
UK Plant Expo will bring together manufacturers, attachment specialists, technology companies, training providers, suppliers, hirers and operators. Visitors can watch machinery working, meet industry representatives and follow the Operator of the Year challenges.
