Yanmar Compact Equipment Europe (CEE) will showcase its ViO17 mini excavator at this year’s Executive Hire Show. Representatives from the company’s UK and European sales teams will be located on stand K48 at the leading trade event, which takes place between 5-6 February at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Compact, efficient and productive, the ViO17 is a leader in its class. A true zero tail swing machine, neither the counterweight nor the upper frame exceed the width of the crawlers, making the ViO17 perfectly suited to tight job sites. A variable undercarriage (950mm-1,280mm) maximises stability by adapting itself to the space available, while the permanently fixed, hinged blade extensions are easy to fold-out.
Powered by a 3-cylinder, 14hp Yanmar 3TNV70-XBV diesel engine, operators benefit from 52Nm torque (@1,600rpm), 15.2kN digging force (bucket) and travelling speeds of up to 4.3kmh. Renowned for its clean and quiet profile, the next-generation engine also boasts reduced emissions, reduced noise, improved starting and meets the latest emissions compliance standards.
Adoption of Yanmar’s VIPPS® three-pump variable flow hydraulic system ensures maximum working speed, as well as smooth, simultaneous operation of all functions, even when travelling. Alongside reduced fuel consumption, this increases cycle productivity and minimises exhaust emissions.
Designed with the operator in mind, the ROPS/FOPS/TOPS-compliant canopy allows easy access to both sides of the machine and the operator station is arranged with the perfect position of joysticks, armrests and travel levers, while separate pedals for the auxiliary power take-off and boom offset further benefit the user.
David Cockayne, UK and Ireland sales manager at Yanmar CEE, commented: “A key event in the national construction calendar, the Executive Hire Show provides an excellent platform to profile our rental-friendly compact equipment range.
“The ViO17 mini excavator is just one Yanmar model renowned among rental professionals for its impressive performance and rental-tough design. We’re looking forward to speaking with attendees about our wider range and its suitability for the equipment hire market.”
